The default view for almost all data types is a Power-Grid. Power-Grids render your data as data table. They can be customized in many ways and support data filtering and data sorting.
The number of data records rendered by a Power-Grid is not limited. Initially only a subset of all available data records is loaded - typically this is around 25 data records. However, if you scrolled to the bottom of the Power-Grid the remaining data records are loaded step by step.
To customize your Power-Grid configuration click the 'More' icon on the top right, select 'Configure columns...' and select the columns you want to display. Drag a columns up or down to change their order.
You also can change the width of the columns by clicking the 'More' icon on the top right, selecting 'Resize columns' and the dragging the column splitters on the Power-Grid header. Finalize the column resizing by clicking the 'More' icon on the top right and selecting 'Hide column splitters'.
Persist your customized Power-Grid by clicking the 'More' icon on the top right, selecting 'Save as...' and assigning a new name to your custom Power-Grid. You now can toggle between your custom Power-Grid and the default layout by clicking either one at the bottom of the 'More' menu .
Most Power-Grid columns provide a 'Filter' icon where you can filter the Power-Grid data e.g. by checking a subset of the available options or typing a string you wanted to filter for. The actual search user interface is dependent on the data type of the filtered column. Filtering can be reset by clicking the 'Reset' icon on the top right of the filter dialog. An active filter is indicated by the updated color of the 'Filter' icon .
To sort a Power-Grid column click the 'Sort' icon on the column header. The current sort direction is indicated by the the icons and .
Both, filter and sort configuration are persisted when customizing the Power-Grid configuration as per above.
To reset your Power-Grid to factory defaults click the 'More' icon on the top right, select 'Reset Power-Grid' and press 'OK' on the confirmation dialog.
Most Power-Grids provide a Quick-Search option on the top. Start typing your search text and Unusual Suite searches for best matching data records as you type and displays them in a drop down. Click on the record you're are looking for. Labels of properties which match your search string are highlighted by a different color.
Click the 'Most recent used' icon to see a list of your most recently viewed or edited records.
Quick-Search is a hybrid search and provides 2 different search modes:
Case insensitive and works on substrings as well: the text 'Nus' will yield 'Unusual' as match. Quick-Search works on properties which identify a record like 'Name' or 'Subject' and 'Email address' for contacts, organizations and users and 'Social media' URLs for contacts and organizations. Issues and tickets also are searched by their numeric id: e.g. '34' yields matches with a numeric id of '1234' or '3456'.
Classic mode is the default mode as you start typing your search text. Quick search switches from classic mode to NLP mode if the search text is longer than 40 characters. You can force classic mode by prepending your search text by a single quote (') or a double quote (") character.
NLP supports complete questions and phrases and tries to find the best matching content. It works best when you type specific questions on the information you're interested in. The same data record properties as in classic mode as well as comments and notes are searched.
Quick search switches from classic mode to NLP mode if your search text is longer than 40 characters. You can force NLP mode by prepending your search text by a question mark (?) character.

E.g. the 'Emails' Power-Grid has a Quick-Actions bar which is visible as you hover over the email. You then can click the 'Move to Trash' icon on the Quick-Actions bar to move the email from the inbox to the trash folder.
The 'Emails' and the 'Documents' Quick-Actions bar also provide a preview. Hover your mouse over the Quick-Actions bar of an email or a document on the Power-Grid and a preview of the email or document content is displayed.
Power-Grids don't auto-update if data records have been changed by an external source. To refresh the content of a Power-Grid click the 'More' icon on the top right and select 'Refresh Power-Grid'.
Note: the 'Emails' Power-Grid is auto-updated if the content of the selected email accounts changes. Hence, in most situations refreshing the 'Emails' Power-Grid is not required.
