How is my data managed, and where is it stored?

Your data is managed by AWS (Amazon Web Services) in their data centre in Frankfurt, Germany (region eu-central-1). AWS is GDPR compliant — you can read more about GDPR here. Your account data lives in a dedicated AWS Aurora MySQL-compatible database and is not shared with data from other Unusual Suite customers.

A 31-day AWS Aurora backup is in place. This allows the complete Unusual Suite data set to be restored in the event of a catastrophic infrastructure failure.

Where else does my data go?

• Power-Chat and AI features are powered by OpenAI (GDPR) or Mistral (GDPR).
• Translations are handled by DeepL GmbH, a Germany-based company that is GDPR compliant.
• PDF and image documents are processed for OCR by OCRSpace (GDPR).
• When creating a contact record, the contact's name is sent to genderize.io to retrieve the gender.

Will my data be shared with anyone else?
