My Power-Grid report is cutting off the content in columns — even the column headers are truncated. What can I do?

Power-Grid reports have different space constraints than Power-Grids viewed on screen. On screen, Power-Grids are typically shown in landscape orientation, while reports default to portrait. This mismatch often produces less-than-ideal results when you create a report using 'More' and 'Create report...'.

There are several ways to improve the result.

Adjust orientation and wrapping

  • Choose 'Landscape' instead of 'Portrait' when creating the report.
  • Choose the 'Wrap content' option instead of 'Don't wrap content'.

Customise the Power-Grid columns before creating the report

The report uses the column definitions from the Power-Grid: it displays the selected columns with their relative widths. You can take advantage of this to control how the report looks.

  1. Select only the columns you want to appear on the report.
  2. Resize the columns to their optimal width.
  3. Optionally, save this configuration as a custom Power-Grid configuration so you can apply it again next time you create a report.
