Reminders, System Notifications, Badges

Activities can have reminders that notify you ahead of the activity's start time. You configure the reminder type by clicking the 'My account' in the upper right corner and selecting 'Settings...'. Two types are available: a modal dialog with a badge on the 'Activities' tab header, or a system notification using your device's notification capabilities.

Configure System Notifications on Windows (Google Chrome)

Enable system notifications for Google Chrome at 'System' > 'Notifications' > 'Google Chrome'. Chrome also manages per-site permissions at 'Google Chrome' > 'Settings' > 'Privacy and security' > 'Site settings' > 'Notifications'. Unusual Suite is listed as '...unusual-suite.com:443' and must appear in the 'Allowed to send notifications' section.

Configure System Notifications on macOS (Safari)

If you're running Unusual Suite as a PWA from the dock, manage permissions at 'Apple menu' > 'Notifications' > 'Unusual Suite'. If you're running it as a regular website in Safari, manage permissions at 'Apple menu' > 'Notifications' > 'Safari'.

Configure System Notifications on macOS (Google Chrome)

Manage permissions at 'Apple menu' > 'Notifications' > 'Google Chrome'. Chrome also manages per-site permissions at 'Settings' > 'Privacy and security' > 'Site settings' > 'Notifications'. Unusual Suite is listed as '...unusual-suite.com:443' and must appear in the 'Allowed to send notifications' section.

Configure System Notifications on Android (Google Chrome)

If you're running Unusual Suite as a PWA from the home screen, manage permissions at 'Settings' > 'Apps' > 'Unusual Suite' > 'Notifications'. If you're running it as a regular website in Chrome, manage permissions at 'Settings' > 'Apps' > 'Chrome' > 'Notifications'.

Configure System Notifications on iOS (Safari)

System notifications only work if Unusual Suite is added to the home screen and opened as a PWA — this is only supported in Safari. System notifications don't work when Unusual Suite is opened as a regular website in any browser on iOS. Manage permissions at 'Settings' > 'Notifications' > 'Unusual Suite'.

Understand Badges

Unusual Suite uses badges on tab headers to alert you to incoming emails and activity reminders when you haven't chosen system notifications. A workspace can hold multiple 'Activities' tabs and 'Emails' tabs — resetting the badge on one 'Emails' tab resets it on all 'Emails' tabs, and the same applies to 'Activities' tabs.

Clear Email Badges

When a new email arrives and the 'Emails' tab isn't selected, a badge appears on the 'Emails' tab header. The badge clears when you click an email, delete an email, move an email to or from the 'Done' folder, or mark an email as 'Read'.

Clear Activity Reminder Badges

When a reminder triggers and the 'Activities' tab isn't selected, a badge appears on the 'Activities' tab header and a dialog opens showing the activity that triggered the reminder. Click the activity to view its details, or click the 'Back' icon to close the reminder dialog.
