Activities let you track tasks, appointments, and work items — and link them directly to your projects, contacts, and organisations.
Click the 'Add' icon in the top right to open a new activity. Choose an activity type, enter a name, and optionally set a deadline, a date, or a recurrence pattern. You can link the activity to contacts, organisations, projects, or users. When you're ready, click the 'Save' icon in the top right. After saving, you can upload new documents to the activity or link documents that already exist in Unusual Suite.
You can display your activities as a Power-Grid, a Kanban board, or a calendar. Click the 'Switch to Kanban' icon in the top right to switch to the Kanban view. The Kanban board arranges your activities in columns sorted by priority. Drag an activity card to a different column to change its priority. Click a card to open and edit the activity details. To switch back, click the 'Switch to Power-Grid' icon in the top right.
To customise the columns in the activities Kanban board, go to the Configuration module and select 'Priorities' from the dropdown in the top left. From there you can rename priorities, reorder them, change their colours, or add new ones.
To learn more about customising these views, see the Power-Grids and Kanban-Boards articles.
Click the 'Calendar' icon in the top right to switch to the calendar view. You can drag an activity to a new time slot to change its start or end time. To create a new activity directly from the calendar, click on the date and time where you want it to start.
Click an activity in the Power-Grid to open it. To open it in a new tab instead, hover over the row and click 'Open in new tab' on the right.
If the default activity types don't cover your needs, go to the Configuration module, select 'Activity types' in the top left, and click the 'Add' icon in the top right. You can also rename existing types and adjust their colour settings.
Some activity types support a 'Due date' field. When an activity type includes this option, the 'Due date' field appears in the activity's detail view. In the activities Power-Grid, the due date is displayed in the 'Start date' column.
Activities can have reminders that notify you before the activity's start time. Unusual Suite offers two reminder methods:
To configure reminders, click the 'My Account' in the top right and select 'Settings...'. If you enable system notifications, test them straight away by clicking the 'Test' button in the settings dialog.
See Reminders, System Notifications, Badges for how to configure your device to accept system notifications issued by Unusual Suite.
Open the activity, go to the 'General' tab, and set the 'Owner' field to the user you want to assign it to. After you save, that user receives a notification in the 'Notifications' tile on the Dashboard. If you have an active email account configured in the Configuration module with the 'SMTP default account' option checked, the newly assigned user also receives an email notification.
You can filter the activities Power-Grid to show only tasks, creating a focused to-do list.
Your saved Power-Grid configuration is now available whenever you need it.
Navigate to the project. In the 'Activities' panel on the right-hand side, click the 'Fullscreen' icon to expand it. You can then switch between Power-Grid, calendar, and Kanban board views to see all activities for that project.
You can import activities from your Apple iCloud, Google, or Microsoft 365 calendar into Unusual Suite.
Open a new 'Activities' tab to see your imported calendar entries. You can also export your Unusual Suite activities to Apple iCloud, Google, or Microsoft 365 by setting up the corresponding export Workflows.
Each activity has a message tool in the right-side panel where you can collaborate with your team. Type your message and press RETURN to send it. Use SHIFT + RETURN to add a line break within your message. You can paste text and images, or drag image files directly into the message area.
You can use Power-Links when composing a message. To quote another team member's message, click the 'More' icon on the top right of that message. The same 'More' menu lets you edit or delete your own messages after sending. Deleting a message removes its content but leaves a trace as a reminder that a message existed.
