Projects

The Projects module lets you manage all your projects in one place.

Create a New Project

  1. Click 'Add' in the top right.
  2. Edit the project details.
  3. Click 'Save' in the top right.

After saving, you can add more to the project:

  • Assign activities to the project.
  • Assign team members.
  • Add notes.
  • Link emails to the project.
  • Upload new documents or link existing ones.

Click 'Back' in the top left to return to the project overview.

Change the Projects View

You can display your projects as a Power-Grid or a Kanban board. Click 'Switch to Kanban' in the top right to switch to the Kanban view. The Kanban board arranges your projects by project stage. Drag a project to a different column to change its stage. Click a project to edit its details.

To customise the Kanban columns, go to the Configuration module and select 'Project stages' from the dropdown in the top left. You can rename stages, change their sequence or colours, and add new ones.

Click 'Switch to Power-Grid' in the top right to switch back. Learn more about customising Power-Grids and Kanban boards.

Open a Project

Click a project in the Power-Grid or Kanban board to open it. To open it in a new tab instead, hover over the row and click 'Open in new tab' on the right.

Display and Filter Project Activities

In the project view, the activities assigned to the project appear on the right. Click 'Fullscreen' at the top of the activity list to expand it. You can then toggle between Kanban board, Power-Grid, and calendar view, and apply filters such as activity type.

Publish a Project

Publishing a project makes the project status visible to customers or employees who don't have access to Unusual Suite. The published information includes the project name, status, due date, and all activities with a due date (to-dos and deadlines).

  1. Click 'Publish project' in the project view.
  2. Click 'Copy link to clipboard' in the top right.
  3. Paste the link and send it to your customer. They can open the link to view the published project information.

The 'Published' column in the projects Power-Grid shows whether a project is currently published.

To unpublish a project, click 'Unpublish project' . The link becomes invalid and the project status is no longer accessible. If you publish the project again later, a new link is generated.

Publishing Security

Each published project link contains a 64-character key that is generated randomly when you publish the project. The key is unique and can't be guessed.

Publishing is a security-sensitive operation. Only users whose profile includes 'Read' and 'Write' privilege for the 'Published' property on 'Projects' can publish or unpublish projects.
